First and foremost I would like to express my gratitude to a Mr. Nafeez for joining me here today. Nafeez you have opened my eyes to a whole new way to fishing and i very much appreciate it. Looking forward to having more fishing adventures with you.

Fish Valley, situated in the more inner parts of the Kajang area is a place that has come very far in the past decade or so. I must compliment the owner or management who have been curating this place as it has improved by leaps and bounds.

I visited this place quite some time ago and to be honest it was a mine in the middle of the jungle back then. Getting to the restaurant would require the use of a land rover. In that time, the place only had a restaurant that was run by siamese cooks. So the story goes. I do stand to be corrected on that part. (Also this place used to be on stilts)

What i remember the most from that dinner i had here was some very good tilapia. Seeing the place today I can appreciate the determination of the proprietors. Its almost very difficult to achieve a place that offers wholesome outdoor family fun with such  great attention to cleanliness.

There are few types of fishing that go on here. Nafeez and myself took up the catch and release pond for today’s activity.

Coming here one can’t help notice how clean this place is.

Clean is one thing. The place is also quite neat. Grass is kept short and there are strong embankments to stand from and cast your lines.

There are altogether 4 lakes to choose from. If you are planning a day trip, go for the catch and release lake. Its good fun for the family. Its also the cheapest. RM 30 for a whole days worth of fishing is good sport.

The above is the catch and take home pond. In this lake there is a large number of tilapia, carp and catfish to be caught especially for the wok. There is always a chance of landing a good sized fish in these waters. So a trip there is not wasteful.

Another good thing about this place is that it has this marvelous restaurant where you can have your lunch. The place also is good for hydrating the anglers who come here. Drinks aplenty so there is no need to hold back your thirst or pangs. Well thought of.

Getting here is a breeze. Drive down the Kajang highway till you enter Semenyih. Once you’re in Semenyih turn into Jalan Sungai Lalang. Drive till you see the huge signboard that reads “FISH VALLEY”. If you get it right you might only need to pay about RM 3 worth of toll for trips through and fro.

A good safe place to take your family fishing here. Do let me know if you’re going. I’d like to join in if I can.

PS.

Bait-casting is not suitable here. Mostly vegetarians. Less chances of strikes and bites. Bring your spinners and use the local bait.
