Where to fish in Malaysia / Selangor / Intan Baiduri PPR lake. A hidden gem underneath the rubbish and all.

This place is situated on the road to Batu Caves from Bandar Utama. Right before the roundabout. On the lefthand side.

First Impressions. This lake has a lot of rubbish in it. Water at the entrance is covered with algae and a lot of plastics floating around. Truly the ugly side of Malaysia. People here are litterbugs.

The landscape that greeted me was filled with debris of all sorts and sizes.

Not to be put down by this i soldiered on to cover the parameters of the lake.

Elevating the distasteful experience was the creeping realization that there was hardly any activity at all on the lake. Could this be a minnow pond?

Boy was I wrong.

This place is loaded with Haruans, Soon Hocks and some huge Tilapia. And all of them are good sized. Venturing in deeper i witnessed how bountiful the lake is.

Packed with Haruans!

The place is also quite well equipped for boating. It has a ramp to lower a small dinghy and a few jetties around to hop on and off. Not to forget get closer to the center of the lake.

A step on the jetty is a leap of faith. Yes its strong and im still alive!

Despite its poorly groomed exterior. I am having a trip tomorrow here. I will be taking some frogs to be sacrificed and i got a pair of spoons.

Wish me luck.
